A significant economic impact in Lorraine

2011, Oct. 12th | Aviation

200 people are working at the Chambley airbase

Sky Aircraft was set up at the Chambley airbase in September 2008. Two years later 200 people are working there, 120 of which are employees of the company.

The company is today completely integrated into the economic base of Lorraine, a member of the Aériades cluster and at the heart of the creation of a real aeronautics sector in the region.

The development of this activity has had, and will have, a very significant impact on the economy of the whole of the Lorraine region.

Aside from the workers recruited locally by Sky Aircraft and the sub-contractors included in the programme, Skylander production is going to generate spin-offs that will be of direct benefit to the development of a number of other high technology sectors associated with the activity of Sky Aircraft.

Nor should we forget the impact of the visits to Chambley of quite a number of civil and government operators from around the whole world.
